  • I have forged a distinct
    working practice

From within a brilliant journey, that nurtured a career with purpose, that strides many creative disciplines. To develop & shape myself into a capable, agile, adaptable & dependable multidisciplinary creative & collaborative individual ~ linkedin.com/in/gilesphelps

    The first project
    I ever worked on

Was Dunlop's biggest ever but sadly their last, then commercials with David Fincher, music videos with Radiohead, feature films with PolyGram, made a documentary with Garry Oldman that got itself banded but it’s still better than the one I did with the Prodigy, possibly changed the coffee table ‘Art’ book for ever, worked on the digital side of Monocle with Tyler Brûlé, before creating the worlds biggest online mexican wave for BT-Fon, helped 3 to get Skype mobile, crafted a multi screen ‘filmic event’ for the worlds most desirable Supercar Brand with the worlds most innovative communications company, gave Jordans belief in 'thinking inside the box' from lessons learned working with Innocent, helped Waitrose show just how much they value a banana farmer, steered BlackBerry to 'Love' with innovative digital, created one of the first ever user generated crowd sourced websites before we even called them that, launched London's most irreverent street wear label, help INQ brand & launch the 'Facebook Phone' with a complete global brand commutations 'kit', created a 'Doom' level for MyDeco where frustrated partners could chainsaw through digital sofas, helped San Migual to deliver on the promise of 'Hidden Depths' & party til dawn, had my own solo show at The ICA, brought the London Jazz Festival alive online for everyone, worked on the global launch platform for the the XKR in line with Jaguar's engineering excellence, toured my visuals with Bent across the festival scene, got Honda Zoom'n with bumpers & idents, worked with true digital innovators to bring filmic story telling to Intel's 'CrimeScene' one of the most awarded digital campaigns of it’s type, helped HSBC to be front of mind as the premier sponsor of Art Basel utilising 'negative space' between arrival & entry with arresting & innovative street art

    I am not however
    responsible for

The infamy surrounding the ‘unofficial brand launch’ of Hendricks gin, or Joost's 'you want free dvd?' or ‘Mini Adventures' ending up on Sky News or the illegal sale of D&AD awards to Adlands finest down Berwick St Market....

    But I have created
    the Identity

For Action Aids PoverTee day, made a film about Juergen Teller that he actually liked, Gave Churchill Insurance the worlds first and only reason to ask 'where's the dog gone' to really 'challenge' holiday insurance at the very point where they're customer needed it, turned a car's ignition key into a tailored experience for Lexus premier customers at the click of a button, got Waitrose staff & customers playing an easter egg hunt both on & off line again with storytelling at the heart of the game, helped Cotswold outdoor to think local and engage customers because they get 'your' outdoors even if the 'context' was online in a three peaks challenge online forum, developed the next generation of user experience with loyalty & control by developing, branding and bringing to market ‘Unifi for ScottishPower where previously the Customers only interaction with the brand was a monthly bill & an on/off switch to reduce churn & empower millions of homes via smartphones to eliminate those ‘oh no moments’ and the last TV Ad I ever worked on is still one of the nations favourite even though it only cost 14k...
